About Me

Hey, I’m Sonali — and this is Cyst-er-hood.
I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) in my early 20s. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what that meant — only that my body felt unpredictable, my periods were inconsistent, and most of the advice I received felt dismissive or confusing.
Like many women, I was told to “just lose weight” or “take the pill,” without anyone truly explaining what was going on inside my body. The emotional side of PCOS — the anxiety, fatigue, body image struggles — was rarely acknowledged. I felt like I had to figure it all out on my own.

Cyst-er-hood is more than a blog – it’s a space to heal out loud. Here, we talk about hormones, healing, and hope – with honesty and care
